Farewell 2004. Good Morning 2005.
Friday / 31 December 04
As the year 2004 is drawing to a close, I have been trying to create a small summary of this year in my mind. The best way to describe 2004 is by saying it was great yet horrible.
2004 was a year where I didn’t manage to do as much as I wanted to. It was the year of the murdering of Theo van Gogh and its consequences, presidential elections in the US and the Asia tsunami. Yet, as always, it’s another year filled with friends, laughter and just all in all fun.
New year’s resolutions are overrated. I don’t believe in them — when time permits I’ll get to the things I want to do. Nonetheless, it will be a year full of new ventures and challenges for me. Some things I’ll definitely do:
- Get my driver’s license (yes, I am over two years late)
- Obtain more contracts in the web design and development field
- Write articles for several online magazines and websites
- Rebuild this website from the ground up
- Arrange an internship
- For the first time spend summer vacation with two great, long-time friends
Of course, there’s so much more I want to do. One step at a time and I’ll get to it, eventually. How about you? What are your special plans for 2005?
