Google’s Picasa

Call me slow or maybe conservative, because I only just got around to try Picasa: Digital Photo Organizer software owned by uncle Google.
Having all of your digital photos perfectly organized in folders with descriptive names, what could such a piece of software possibly add? Two things have made me love this piece of software, even though my opinion is biased to the bone (I haven’t tried any other software of this kind); the interface and Google’s search engine.
The interface is just plain sexy—I don’t recall ever liking the look and feel of a interface so much before. Along with the ability to add keywords on a per-photo base, which automagically results in instant search results, I am just amazed nobody has ever told me to try this sooner.
Google Desktop Search, Picasa’s Hello IM, Blogger, GMail, Google Browser? I’ll be watching this one develop with my feet up on the table and a bag of popcorn.
